Playground Protection

by msecadm4921

Charter Specialist Security, the UK supplier of built-in roller shutters, has had its Integr8 security shutters installed into Kilburn Grange Park Adventure Playground in the London Borough of Camden, designed by erect architecture….

In the eight acre inner city park, the Activity Centre in the Adventure Playground required a high level of physical security without it
impacting visually on the eye catching external aesthetics which include a grass roof and untreated wood finish on an unusual timber frame.

Charter Specialist Security’s 15 Integr8 180BL have been installed to the Adventure Playground Activity Centre’s ground floor doors and windows to ensure complete window and door protection out of hours. The product was specified because of its compact hoodbox detail, slim side guide profiles and the ability to powder coat the shutters to any RAL colour, including three shades of yellow as specified.

The Charter-Integr8 180BL has been designed for fast track build styles including SFS and timber frame as used in the Activity Centre. The system does not require a lintel but instead attaches to the inner frame, for a cost-effective and quick installation. The side guide profiles are included as part of the cavity closer for aesthetics and security.
