Panasonic Consumer Electronics Company announced a strategic relationship with Quadrox, a third party product provider offering network video recording solutions focused on monitoring point-of-sale transactions and other retail applications.

Panasonic Communications Solutions Group’s network cameras and routers, with Quadrox’s WebCCTV network digital video recording technology, monitor retail point of sale activity providing users with tools to effectively manage video and transaction data. The application is suitable it is claimed to a variety of businesses, including convenience and grocery stores, quick service restaurants, filling stations and specialty retail shops. Each Quadrox WebCCTV supports up to 20 network cameras and allows for simultaneous playback of up to four cameras.

It enables users to access live and previously recorded information from anywhere in the world without the need for any proprietary software. The system integrates with most Windows-based point-of-sale applications and may be used with their new Count!Guard people counting and management feature to provide retailers with video analytics tools to more effectively monitor and manage visitor traffic patterns and sales conversion rates.
