THE management team of queue product provider Qm Group has completed a buy-out of the company.
Qm Group employs 70 staff and is the UK’s leading provider of queue management systems to organisations including Argos, Boots, Woolworth’s, Matalan, Tesco, Orange, HBOS and Post Office.
The company has installed more than 5,000 call-forward systems and 40,000 barriers for its retail clients with what it calls the goals of helping shoppers ‘gain maximum value from the Waiting Experience’.
Sales Director Alistair Agnew and Operations Director Bernie Williams have become joint Managing Directors of a company that is expected, they say, to turn over £10m during this financial year.
Advisors to the vendors were Clearwater Corporate Finance and the MBO was supported by private equity firm Advantage Capital.
The new management team retains founding Directors Martin Christie and Terry Green, who established the company in 1989 with the invention of an audio based queue management system.
