A free conference and exhibition is launching in Surrey this November to help companies based in the South East understand the diverse security challenges they face….
Organised by the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) in partnership with Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Kent and Thames Valley Police forces, and with the Federation of Small Businesses, the Business Crime Conference will take place on Wednesday, November 30, at Sandown Park in Surrey. Chief Constable Mark Rowley of Surrey Police will formally open the event.
Free to attend for delegates, the event is aimed at providing advice and guidance to key decision-makers from a range of industries and business sectors, including local authorities, retailers, blue chip companies, SMEs, health authorities, facilities managers, consultants and the police.
Event organiser, Christine Brooks of the BSIA, said: “This one-day security-focused event is aimed at providing businesses with the latest information and guidance on business security. With a series of informative presentations planned, covering economic, social and environmental topics, the event will give delegates an insight into how they can keep their staff and businesses safe and secure in these challenging times.”
Confirmed speakers include Professor Martin Gill of Perpetuity Research, who will talk about Secured by Design and Secured Environments for Business; and ACC Allyn Thomas from Kent Police and ACPO Lead on Business Crime, who will discuss the impact on Police of today’s changing business world. Chief Inspector Colin Green of the ACPO/MPS Olympic and Paralympic Policing Coordination (OPC) team will speak about the implications of London 2012 on businesses.
Advice and guidance will also be on hand from some 20 exhibitors, including security consultants, service providers and manufacturers, who will be showcasing the latest products and services.
A limited number of exhibition stand spaces are also available, giving suppliers operating in the security sector an opportunity to promote their products and services to a diverse range of businesses. The cost of exhibiting; £650 plus VAT.
