Scots G4S

by msecadm4921

G4S Security Services (UK) reports that it is one of the first UK security providers to have passed the Scottish Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS). The approval extends the accreditation G4S has in England and Wales.

The ACS roll out of the scheme in Scotland introduces the same principles that already apply to security firms operating in England and Wales. The accreditation uses an audit via focus groups, customers and staff to examine the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, customer service delivery, performance and staff development.

What they say

Doug Hewitson, Managing Director, G4S Security Services (UK), said: “We fully support the ACS initiative and the SIA’s commitment to raising standards in the security industry as it increases public confidence in third party suppliers. The ACS standards resonate with our own company goals and we are pleased to see that feedback from the auditors has highlighted G4S’ focus on successful customer partnership and staff training.” The ACS accreditation became effective on September 17.
