G4S Security Services (UK) was the main sponsor of the Scottish Business Crime Centre Parliamentary Reception in Edinburgh on March 31.

Held in the Scottish Parliament, the event was an opportunity for the business community and MSPs to raise awareness of the impact and cost of business crime in Scotland. In its second year, the event attracted 165 guests.

Eric Alexander, Director – Scotland for G4S says: "It is in all of our interests to ensure that the public and private sectors are working closely together to protect Scotland’s legacy as a safe and reliable place to do business. Through information sharing and cooperation we all play a part in ensuring that business leaders and entrepreneurs continue to choose Scotland as a place to develop and grow. Events like this reception are a vital reminder of the role we all play in creating a safer Scotland."

Alan Dobie, Executive Director, Scottish Business Crime Centre adds: It is vital that the Police, Scottish Government and the business community work in partnership to help ensure that the economic development of the country is not hindered through criminal activity and that Scotland is seen as a safe place to invest and do business in. I am delighted that so many of our partners are able to attend this event to network and learn from each other and to understand how the Scottish Business Crime Centre works. By working together, we can make a difference and make Scotland a safe and prosperous place to live, work and locate in."
