Search Service

by msecadm4921

i2, a provider of intelligence and investigation management software, launched i2 iXa Search Service with Full Text Searching technology for analysts working on critical threats.

As part of the i2 Intelligence-Led Operations Platform, the iXa Search Service enables analysts to gather data from multiple sources. iXa Search Service shrinks volumes of data into meaningful intelligence in seconds, transforming the productivity of analysts working in this critical field, the Cambridge firm claims.

The volume of accessible information available today – internal data sources, publicly accessible databases, and data purchased from or shared by other organisations – has exploded and grown infinitely more complex. As a result, analysts typically spend 80 percent of their time researching, collecting and collating relevant data, leaving just 20 percent available for actual analysis.

“When it comes to thwarting increasingly chaotic and unpredictable criminal and terrorist threats, analysts’ productivity can be as negatively impacted by too much data as it can by a lack of available information,” said Chriss Knisley, Assistant Vice President at i2. “It is only by implementing innovative solutions like iXa Search Service that users can concentrate on creating meaningful intelligence to help their organisations proactively deter, prevent, predict and disrupt the world’s most sophisticated criminal and terrorist threats. This is a quantum leap forward for the industry.”
