Skills for Security are running their pair of autumn conferences again.
On a theme of take-off for the soon to be regulated Northern Irish security industry: the Skills for Security (SfS) annual NI conference, on October 14. La Mon Hotel & Country Club is a four-star hotel outside Belfast in the County Down countryside. David Greer, chief exec of Skills for Security will start and close the day. Speakers invited include, on biometrics, Patricia O’Hagan, Core Systems (NI); and Hazel Banks of the SIA.
And at the RAF Museum, Hendon, north London, on October 20, speakers invited include Dr Adam White, University of Sheffield, giving the historical side to the progress of UK private security; Amanda Oliver of the BSIA on CViT; Mark Hamilton of G4S Events; and on public sector contracts, Richard Bailey, MD of guarding contractor Advance Security.
