Speak To A Cop While You Shop

by msecadm4921

In West Yorkshire, a new weekly contact point has been launched by Wakefield Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team at the Asda store in Durkar, Wakefield.

A representative from the team will be at the Asdale Road store between 11am and noon each Thursday.

It will provide an opportunity for local residents to come face to face with a member of their local neighbourhood policing team when they do their supermarket shopping.

PC Matthew Jackson said: “We are always looking for new ways to engage with members of the public and find out what their concerns are. Thousands of people use this store every day so this is an excellent opportunity to speak to people and make a real difference in their communities."

Brian Appleton, General Store Manager at Asda, Wakefield, said: "I am happy to support this local policing initiative."
