Swiss Show

This year’s “Sicherheit”, a Swiss security exhibition, runs from November 15 to 18 in Zurich.

The German digital CCTV product company Dallmeier will be showing the Panomera: a multi-sensor camera system that provides up to 51 megpixels in real time.

The makers say that a huge area can be surveyed from a single location. Offered is the combination of an overall view with simultaneous high detail resolution: even objects that are farther away can be displayed with the same resolution as objects in the foreground of the picture, the firm says. This makes it possible to still identify people at a distance of 160m and more. The resolution that needs to be achieved for a certain distance can be individually defined, according to project requirements. The overall scene is recorded at all times, regardless of the part of the surveillance area the operator focuses on at a particular moment. As a result, an incident can also be reconstructed and analysed in detail after the situation, no matter where it occurred.

The makers point also to the cost-efficiency of the system: where previously several HD cameras had to be installed, a single Panomera system is now enough – which also means only one installation site is necessary. Since fewer camera installation locations are needed, the requirements for the infrastructure (masts, cables, electricity, etc) are lower, besides spend on servicing and maintenance.

Dieter Dallmeier, company founder and CEO, says: “Today, Panomera is the most cost-effective camera system with the greatest possible detail resolution on the market. Whether for expansive and especially wide areas, for areas with long distances or for challenging smaller surveillance areas: For those who a planning such a project, they should be calculating it against the Panomera system. It makes not only financial sense, it also offers further advantages in comparison to a variety of conventional cameras.”
