Vista has released the VTC01, a new tower camera designed the CCTV firm says to be discreetly mounted on a counter-top to provide close-up images that can be used for facial identification.
Case and camera are fully adjustable and can be situated at a height of 43-60cm with 90 degree panning and 20 degree tilting ability. This ensures that it can be mounted on almost any height counter and still provide the required results, the firm adds.
The unit comes pre-configured with lens, camera and housing. The firm says that it’s suitable for use in banks, building societies, hotels, betting shops, jewellers and liquor stores to name a few.
“The VTC tower camera is a great tool for simply and clearly capturing images for transactional and identification purposes,” says Mark Pritchard, Vista’s divisional director. “Whilst this has traditionally been carried out with a standard camera with a wide angle lens, the distance from the subject has often led to poor identification.”
