X-ray Cargo

by msecadm4921

A $9 million contract to provide multiple transmission X-ray cargo and vehicle inspection systems to a European customs agency has gone to Rapiscan Systems.

OSI Systems (Rapiscan Systems’ parent company) CEO, Deepak Chopra, said: "Eagle transmission X-ray cargo and vehicle inspection systems are the premier non-intrusive inspection solution for customs agencies who value high-performance, high-throughput security systems. Unlike some detection technologies that have limited penetration capabilities, Eagle transmission X-ray systems can detect contraband, weapons, narcotics and other threat items even at the centre of densely packed containers or vehicles.”

Chopra continued: “We look forward to implementing our cargo solutions for this critical security application. With the broad technology base at Rapiscan, we continue to expand our screening options available to port, border, and air cargo security customers.”

Over 100 Eagle cargo and vehicle inspection systems have been deployed worldwide. For more information on Rapiscan Systems visit –
