Academy appointments

by Mark Rowe

At The Axis Academy, Duaine Taylor is the new Head of Learning and Development, and Peter Morris has been appointed as Lead Trainer.

The Academy has been set up for all those employed by Axis Group companies providing security guarding and related services.

Duaine, pictured, was previously the Training Manager for Axis Cleaning and Support Services. He is now responsible for the learning and development of employees across the Group, reporting to Naomi Austen, Group HR and Learning Director. Responsible for the day-to-day management, he is also tasked with establishing new training regimes, working with trainers to devise bespoke courses which answer the needs of employees and clients. He started his career in the military before a career in teaching and lecturing.

Peter Morris, who was until recently an Assistant Account Manager with Axis Security, was a Metropolitan Police detective who joined the private security industry in 1999. Peter has an operational background besides holding several teaching qualifications and a Masters degree in Security Management.

Jonathan Levine, Group Chief Executive, says: “This is an exciting time for the business as we look to support our employees and their future career ambitions. Investing in our people is key to driving positive change and the raising of professional standards across the cleaning, security and support services sectors.”
