Dubai agreement

by Mark Rowe

Tavcom Training, part of the Linx International Group, has signed an exclusive Strategic Partnership Agreement with SIRA, the Security Industry Regulatory Authority in Dubai. The Hampshire-based training firm says this agreement cements a relationship between Tavcom and SIRA in the provision of technical security systems and control room operations training in Dubai.

The Dubai Government created SIRA in 2016 by converting DPS (Department of Protective Systems) into an independent agency. SIRA is responsible setting the regulations, training and enforcements of security within Dubai.

Ahmed Albalooshy the Centre Director said: “SIRA values its partnership with Tavcom and as SIRA strives to ensure only the very best training is provided to those operating in the private security sector within Dubai, Linx International Group and Tavcom are recognized leaders in their field and we are delighted to be working with them.”

And Tavcom Training Executive Director, Paul Tennent said: “It is a great honour for us to announce this strategic partnership agreement with SIRA. This is a culmination of over 20 years’ work which has seen Tavcom become renowned for delivering its award-winning technical security systems training in the Middle East.”

SIRA and Tavcom have designed technical workshops at SIRA’s new Training Centre in Dubai. As with the Tavcom Training Centre in Bishops Waltham in the UK, this facility features fully equipped workshops, providing students with tuition in theory and ‘hands-on’ experience using an array of equipment.

Paul added: “We are excited to be working closely with SIRA to jointly offer accredited and comprehensive technical training for security professionals in the region. We expect to be training around 50 students per month at the training centre and look forward to further developing our continued relationship and security offering moving forwards.”
