Free seminars

by Mark Rowe

Chubb Fire & Security UK provided more than 500 business owners and managers with advice on keeping their people and premises safe and secure as part of a free seminar open to all businesses.

The programme included briefings on the latest fire safety and security regulations and technologies, as well as information on employers’ legal responsibilities for protecting employees. It featured a discussion on the increasing role that the internet is playing in monitoring and CCTV, and a practical demonstration of how to tackle a fire using a fire extinguisher.

The seminars ran in Stevenage, Leatherhead, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Birkenshaw, Bristol, Plymouth and Aberdeen, with an on-line delegate resource pack sent to all attendees afterwards.

Jane Garland, Marketing Communication Manager, Chubb Fire & Security UK, said: “Chubb takes its position as one of the leaders in the fire protection and security industry seriously and is enthusiastic about opportunities to share its expertise, so it is really positive that so many people chose to benefit from this knowledge.”

Chubb is a part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
