by Mark Rowe

The training provider Skills for Security (SfS) has introduced their latest apprenticeship, Providing Security Services.

The level 2 qualification Providing Security Services Apprenticeship allows learners to develop and practice the knowledge required in the security services sector, says Worcester-based SfS. This qualification will help learners to progress and demonstrate the specialist, professional skills in areas such as Guarding, Event Security, Retail Security, CCTV Operations, Egress and Ingress, Customer Services, Ethics, Behaviours and Teamwork.

Richard Moore, Director of Commercial Services at Skills for Security said: “Skills for Security’s level 2 apprenticeship in providing security services is suitable for anyone in or about to enter the security industry. This course provides a fantastic foundation to any career pathway in the industry and gives learners the confidence to move forward. Apprenticeships are a great way to train new or existing staff and help ensure that your workforce has the skills that you require.”

With SfS, delivery of the current apprenticeships is a mixture of on and off the job training with full support for learners and employers. If you are looking to take on an apprentice, Skills for Security add that they can help in the recruitment process, provide guidance on training and advise if you are eligible for funding.
