Tall buildings day

The security of increasingly tall buildings and office blocks is the topic of a conference by CSARN on July 10 at the University of Greenwich. Steve Watts, Associate Director, CSARN is chair of the day in SE10.

Speakers are Luana Avagliano, Head of ResilienceDirect, Civil Contingencies Secretariat; David Cormie, Associate Director, Resilience, Security & Risk, at the engineering firm Arup; Met Police Supt Simon Dobinson on countering terrorism; and after lunch, Paul Snudden, Advanced Laser Imaging Chief Executive on real time mapping of tall building incidents; Martin Smith, Chairman and founder of security awareness consultancy The Security Company, on the threat by insiders to buildings and their staff; Nicola Thompson, Director of Business Development UK and Ireland, Lenel, the security integration product company; and Mike Griffin, Technical Director, Vector Command, on simulation command training.
