Michael Whittington, Head of Employee Screening at The Risk Advisory Group, is among the speakers at BFI’s 21th employee vetting and screening conference.
He will go over the audit, compliance and legal sides to outsourcing background checks, how to measuring success, and how to set service level agreements. John Bernard, Senior Security Manager at Vodafone, will speak on vetting across a global business. Other topics include data protection (by Ian Deasha, Senior Policy Officer at the regulator the ICO), use of social media to check staff, recognising fraudulent documents (and what to do when you have spotted false ID), vetting during TUPE and acquisitions, and how to balance speedy and effective screening.
