EE Launches Online Security Add-Ons For Customers

by msecadm4921

From suspicious emails to questionable websites, we’re only one tap away from compromising our internet-connected devices. With cyber security, prevention is better than cure, so it’s vital to implement online security on all your devices.

If you’re an EE customer, you can now add a cyber security package to your monthly plan, protecting you from various malicious attacks online.

Protect Your Online Security With EE

The UK carrier EE recently announced the rollout of two new online security services, that are powered by Norton. Both are available to customers on a flexible, rolling monthly plan, and all online security features are included in both — so no matter how many devices you’re securing, you know you’ll be protected.

– EE Cyber Security Duo: Protect up to two devices for £2 per month.

– EE Cyber Security Multi: Protect up to fifteen devices for £5 per month.

Multi-Dimensional Cyber Security Protection Features

From dark web and social media monitoring to device and SMS security, as well as monthly reporting and password management, you can browse the internet safely and securely with EE’s new add-ons.

– Dark Web Monitoring: EE’s online security services will monitor the dark web and send alerts if your personal information, such as email addresses, bank accounts, credit cards, phone, or driver’s license numbers, are found.

– Social Media Monitoring: While they don’t monitor private messages and explicitly state that they may not catch every case of cyberbullying or explicit and illegal content, they will oversee your social media accounts for unusual activity (changing account settings, suspicious logins, or risky links posted by your account).

– Device Security: This feature protects your devices in real time from ransomware, malware, spyware and viruses. If you connect your EE Cyber Security to a Windows PC, Mac or Android-powered device, the service will also monitor and block unauthorised traffic, as well as shield your personal and financial information.

– SMS Security: No more wondering whether the links in anonymous texts are malicious or not — SMS Security identifies text messages with suspicious links and alerts you to the threat. Both android and iOS devices are covered, but it doesn’t monitor your iMessages.

– Report Card: This handy tool summarises all the online security activities your Cyber Security add-on has performed for you over the last 30 days.

– Norton’s Password Manager: You can generate and manage all your passwords in a dedicated, secure portal using Norton’s Password Manager.

How To Enhance Your Device’s Cyber Security

While these new add-ons are an excellent way for you to protect your devices from ever-increasing cyber security threats, you should ensure that all your internet-connected devices have the most up-to-date software to keep you fully protected from any vulnerabilities.
