UK OSPAs 2021 open

by Mark Rowe

Nominations are open for the UK OSPAs (Outstanding Security Performance Awards) 2021.

Briefly, the OSPAs, in several countries, seek to find the very best from within the security sector – whether technology by companies, by individual managers and end users and entrepreneurs. As organisers say, the OSPAs present an opportunity to acknowledge role models and thought leaders who have made a contribution in making a difference to the security sector.

Professor Martin Gill, pictured, of the consultancy Perpetuity, is founder of the awards. He said: “I encourage everyone working in the sector to submit at least one nomination; security too often operates under the radar and the OSPAs provide the opportunity to highlight and promote the pioneering work that is being carried out.”

Entry to the UK OSPAs is now open and nominations are invited in these categories:

– In-House Security Manager/Director Outstanding Contract Security Manager/Director
– Security Team Outstanding Contract Security Company (Guarding)
– Security Consultant Outstanding Customer Service Initiative
– Security Training Initiative Outstanding Security Installer/Integrator
– Event Security Team Outstanding Security Partnership
– Security Equipment Manufacturer Outstanding New Security Product
– Security Officer Outstanding Young Security Professional; and
– Cyber Security Initiative Lifetime Achievement Award.

Nominations are open until Thursday, October 1; and more details on the awards, can be found here: https://uk.theospas.com/enter/.

The awards are independently judged by professionals representing the supporting associations and groups. Shortlisted nominees will be announced in November, and the awards ceremony will take place in the first quarter of 2021. The 2021 UK OSPAs have been sponsored for a third year by Innovise, the workforce management software company. Visit https://uk.theospas.com.
