Women’s network evening

by Mark Rowe

The Fraud Women’s Network is holding its annual event in London on Thursday, April 11. As with other events by the Network, the evening’s partly for women working in fraud prevention to get together; and it ends with drinks and canapes. In between, Lynne Owens, Director General of the National Crime Agency and newly appointed Patron of FWN will chair a panel. Their topic; fraud affecting the vulnerable.

On the panel will be Mike Haley, CEO of Cifas, who with the risk consultancy Kroll are sponsors of the event. Also Nick Downing, National Police Chiefs lead for Financial Investigation and Proceeds of Crime and Assistant Chief Constable, Head of Serious Crime Directorate for Kent and Essex Police. And Lucy Malenczuk, Senior Policy Manager Consumer and Community at the charity Age UK. Lucy worked as a financial services regulatory lawyer at law firm Clifford Chance and later Allen & Overy. She led the team which delivered the Financial Resilience in Retirement research project and has recently completed work on helping people to budget in retirement.

To ask more about the event, at Farmers and Fletchers, 3 Cloth St, London EC1A 7LD, email [email protected].

Diary date: the Network’s summer networking evening is also in London, on Wednesday, July 3.
