Andrew Rennison to speak

by Mark Rowe

Andrew Rennison the new Surveillance Camera Commissioner has agreed to be the main speaker at the next Global MSC Security Seminar and Exhibition. This autumn it’s running, instead of Newcastle, at the Queens Hotel in Leeds, between 9am and 4.30pm on Tuesday, November 13. He’s spoken at the Global MSC days before, and is pictured left at the November 2011 event; but this is a chance to hear and ask about the proposed regulation of CCTV, under the Freedoms Act. Event organiser Derek Maltby of Bristol-based Global MSC is picture right.

On the Monday afternoon, attenders can visit a Leeds control room.

Speakers confirmed so far:

Prof Allyson MacVean of the John Grieve Centre for Policing and Community Safety at London Met University;
Brian Pender, for the CCTV National Standards Forum;
David Spreadborough – Cheshire Police;
David Markland – Silvernet;
Andy Cassidy – Norbain;
Robert Chandler – Lyyn;
Martyn Rowe – Synectics;
Martin Bonfield – AMG Systems; and
Speaker – Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure

On the evening of November 12 at 7.30pm, as part of the drinks reception prior to the networking dinner, the dinner sponsor, CCTV specialists Bosch Security Systems, will be hosting a live demonstration for all attendees, within the exhibition area including complimentary drinks. This is being staged at the Queens Hotel. Attendees will be given a product overview and demonstration and will be able to see the products in action. The subsidised cost for delegates for the networking dinner, bed and breakfast is £85 plus VAT.
