G4S Technology (UK), G4S Fire Security and G4S Monitoring Services have combined and started the transition to become G4S Fire & Security Systems (UK), part of G4S Secure Solutions (UK). This process will be completed by the end of the year, the firm adds.
Based in Gloucestershire, pictured, and employing over 260 people, G4S Fire & Security Systems (UK) has a fully accredited 24 x 7 monitoring centre. Barry Byrne, Managing Director, G4S Fire & Security Systems (UK) said: “At G4S we recognised that customers are increasingly demanding a single point of contact for their life safety and building security requirements, in order to maximise efficiencies and reduce costs. By combining the strong capabilities of G4S Technology (UK), G4S Fire Security and G4S Monitoring Services to create a single entity, we are now well positioned to deliver this to our customers and the wider security and life safety technologies marketplace.
