UK manufacturing debate

by Mark Rowe

C-TEC Manufacturing Director, Stephen Collier, joined the Coalition business minister Vince Cable in Cheshire at a televised event designed to stimulate debate about the critical issues affecting UK manufacturing.

Hosted by The Manufacturing Institute at its Fab Lab digital fabrication laboratory in Ellesmere Port, the Round Table event involved delegates discussing the Government’s latest efforts to promote manufacturing, encourage innovation and attract new talent into industry.

Stephen said: “C-TEC is renowned for creating innovative life-safety equipment and we are very successful at recruiting talented and enthusiastic people. We were delighted to be asked to share our experience and expertise ahead of the Government’s latest initiatives to boost UK manufacturing at home and overseas.”

C-TEC’s Managing Director, Andrew Foster said: “Any initiative by the Government to support manufacturing is to be welcomed and we were very pleased to be invited to attend the consultation. British manufacturing is the best in the world and we are incredibly proud of the fact that all of C-TEC’s products are designed and manufactured in this country.”

C-TEC offers fire alarm control panels, call systems, voice alarms and disability products, many of which are third-party approved. The company has a new range of ZFP touchscreen controlled addressable fire alarm control panels. For more information, visit – www.c-tec.co.uk
