1.3MP analogue camera

by Mark Rowe

New analogue cameras from Grundig uses Sony Megapixel sensor technology to produce image resolutions of 1.3MP or 1000TVL. The 1.3MP range includes bullet, fixed dome and vandal-resistant dome cameras, all offering wide dynamic range, true day-night functionality and low-light sensitivity. Outdoor models are IP67 rated. Smart IR technology gives uniform scene illumination, at up to 30 metres, without over exposure.

Motion tracking zones can be configured within the camera scene and an electronic, ePTZ function allows operators to zoom into camera images for close-up, detailed viewing. The 1.3MP cameras are compatible with Grundig’s 960H and standard DVRs, as well as DVRs made by most third party manufacturers. This allows the cameras to be used throughout an analogue system or just in key locations requiring greater image detail, lowering costs, the makers say. The cameras can also be retro-fitted into analogue systems made by Grundig or other manufacturers.

Further features include motion tracking, a defog function and ePTZ pre-sets. These help to make the new 1.3MP range a plug-and-play, coaxial solution for a variety of security applications, according to the firm.
