Bullet-style camera

by msecadm4921

VIVOTEK is launching the IP8332-C, pictured, a compact bullet-style camera. The Taiwanese manufacturer says the product is designed for outdoor uses with a mounting bracket for cable management.

With a 1-Megapixel sensor enabling viewing resolution of 1280×800 at 30 fps, VIVOTEK IP8332-C camera captures fine details it is claimed. Besides high-resolution videos, the camera features a removable IR-cut filter and IR illuminators effective up to 15m. The day and night function allows for clear footage to be captured around the clock, according to the company.

William Ku, Director of Brand Business at VIVOTEK, says: “At VIVOTEK, we understand market demands and what users from all types of vertical markets are looking for. An all-in-one device with uncompromised performances even under harsh outdoor conditions like the VIVOTEK IP8332-C is the ideal solution for outdoor surveillance applications.”

Most of the company’s outdoor-specific products, including the IP8332-C, come with IP66-rated housing. The weather-proof housing protects the cameras from damage caused by rain and dust.  The IP8332-C features tamper detection, 802.3af compliant PoE, MicroSD/SDHC card slot and VIVOTEK’s 32-channel recording software.

According to Ku, this model is designed for city use, particularly on streets, and public areas such as entrances, sidewalks and outdoor plazas. The product is available as of August 2012; visit the Product page on VIVOTEK website for more information.  VIVOTEK adds that it is working with more than 150 authorised distributors in over 80 countries.
