Two new TruVision DVRs for analogue recording have been introduced by UTC Fire and Security in the UK. The DVR41, which succeeds the TruVision DVR40, is a recorder with four, eight or 16 analogue channels. It uses H.264 video compression to deliver real-time recording on each channel at 4CIF resolution and is an option the makers say for user-friendliness, remote management and real time recording. The recorder allows you to use up to six embedded 2TB HDDs, totalling up to 12TB. With features such as mirroring, this reliable DVR makes sure vital recordings are preserved, even in the event of HDD failure. Video can also be archived via CD, DVD, USB and eSata devices using the quick archive button on the unit’s front panel, or the export features embedded in the OSD, web browser or TruVision Navigator. Meanwhile the DVR 11 has been introduced as a mid-market and entry level recorder. Building on the DVR 10 and DVR 40, the new DVR11 is suitable according to the manufacturers for use with four, eight or 16 analogue cameras. It can store up to 4 TB and is available with or without a DVD burner.
