Edesix, the UK-based manufacturer of body worn systems, will be presenting VideoBadge2 at IFSEC this year.
VideoBadge2, the latest body worn camera device to enter the marketplace, launched in March.
The modified design still allows for personalisation of the front fascia – to maintain flexibility of use – and now also features a front facing activation switch designed for activation even when wearing gloves.
VideoBadge2 also features a full shift pre-record function, for places where incidents happen quickly and without warning. The pre-record duration is configurable by the customer and available for the full eight hours of recording time, for capture of events as they unfold.
According to the product company, body worn video is proven to have a positive impact on those both sides of the camera, moderating behaviour and reducing conflict in face to face situations. The firm claims that organisations report fewer complaints, increased transparency of process, and time and cost savings during investigations.
