Training course

by Mark Rowe

Pro-Vision Distribution, the Shropshire-based distributor of branded CCTV and access control equipment, reports that John May has completed manufacturer IDIS’ training course.

John, an Area Sales Manager for Pro-Vision in the south east, is the latest Pro-Vision employee to complete the course, at IDIS’s training rooms at their UK head office in Brentford.

John is now an accredited IDIS Certified Engineer on the DirectIP product – including setting up the recorder and cameras, backup and upgrades and IDIS Centre. He said: “The course is really very good, well presented by the staff at IDIS and very informative. I’m sure that the information I’ve gained will be put to good use.”

David Westwood, UK Sales Manger for Pro-Vision, added: “We have regular general product training sessions at our monthly sales meetings and IDIS were with us in Shrewsbury just a couple of months ago. However the specialist training that John has completed is an area we are currently developing as although we have a broad depth of knowledge in CCTV and Access Control it’s important that the team are continuously kept ‘up-to-speed’ on all the latest equipment and technology in our industry.”
