Vandal proof domes

by Mark Rowe

The GV-VD3700 and GV-VD5700 are new infrared vandal proof dome cameras from GeoVision, available from IDS Group.

Designed to withstand harsh sites they adhere to IK10 vandal resistance and IP67 ingress protection. Like many of the recent GeoVisions releases, this range supports the H.265 video codec to achieve a better compression ratio, saving on storage space while maintaining quality imaging.

Even after dark, the range continues to perform, as for night time operation, the cameras have 12 infra-red (IR) LEDs built-in which allows up to 30m effective IR viewing distance. Both models have P-Iris lenses for precise control of exposure and better image clarity and contrast. And the domes are adjustable in three axis (pan, tilt and rotate).

Tas Kyriacou, IDS Group’s Business Development Consultant says: “It’s great to see more and more GeoVision cameras coming through which support the H.265 codec, this helps us to help our customers save on storage space and costs for their video footage.”
