Videcon, Redvision partner

by Mark Rowe

The trade-only security distributor, Videcon Ltd, has announced a distribution partnership with Redvision, the UK-based manufacturer of the X-Series PTZ range. The firms say that the X-Series is designed as a robust camera solution for all terrains. Specialising in white-light and infra-red (IR) LED, Redvision products perform effectively in total darkness or mixed light conditions, according to the firms.

Working with the Concept Pro IP and AHD recorder ranges, X-Series cameras can deliver up to 150m illumination range with IR models and 120m range with white light models. Each camera has 100 pre-sets, eight tours, 16 alarm contacts and up to 24 privacy masks, allowing for virtually hands-free operation and integration with other detection equipment, the makers say.

Mike Reddington, Managing Director of Videcon Ltd, said: “Redvision products are the perfect compliment to our in-house PTZ cameras found in the Concept Pro range, allowing installers to deliver high-specification security solutions in many hostile and hazardous environments, rapid deployment and perimeter security applications.”

Videcon stocks and supplies other third party security products from industry brands including Geoquip perimeter detection equipment, GJD PIR detectors, and WEC precision-engineered CCTV mounting poles. Installers can contact their account manager, or visit www.videcon.co.uk, for more details.
