Charity partner

by Mark Rowe

Atlas Security, the privately-owned security contractor, has chosen Action for Children as its charity partner. Atlas’ recent annual Employee Happiness Survey found support for a children’s charity as the most popular choice among employees.

Action for Children is a charity that protects and supports vulnerable young people by providing practical and emotional care and support. With 447 services across the UK, in schools and online, in 2021/22 it helped 671,275 children, young people and families.

Atlas employees will be donating, volunteering, and fundraising. They will be taking part in events such as the London Marathon in April, where they will be supporting and cheering on racers running for Action for Children. They are due to compete in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in May. In June, Atlas will also volunteer its security services for FestivALL, an inaugural music festival for children and families supported by Action for Children.

Gary Stanton, Managing Director of Atlas, pictured, says: “We wanted to make sure we listen to our people and work with a charity that is closest to them. I am delighted to be associated with Action for Children knowing this is what our people want and knowing what a worthwhile charity it is to support. I am confident that Atlas and all its people will do everything in their ability to promote this cause at all its events.”

Natalie Salazar, Regional Manager at Action for Children in London and the South East, says: “We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Atlas Security. It’s wonderful to be part of the great actions coming from its Employee Happiness Survey. We’re really looking forward to bringing some of those events and volunteering activities to life across the next few years. Atlas Security will be making a huge difference to improve the lives of so many children and young people across the UK. Thank you, team Atlas!”
