GJD at Innovate 2016

by Mark Rowe

GJD, based in Heywood, Greater Manchester was one of 25 companies from across the country to launch new products at Innovate 2016, on November 2 and 3, 2016. The two-day event in Manchester was hosted by the Department for International Trade and Innovate UK as the largest cross-sector innovation show in the UK.

GJD showed external motion detectors designed to tackle false alarms, which is as the firm says one of the major challenges in the security industry. The firm says that the alarm detectors offer reduced hours and resource costs spent analysing and attending to false alarm reports.

Innovate UK Chief Executive Ruth McKernan said: “I congratulate GJD on their success in winning a place and thank them for their involvement in our annual flagship show of innovation excellence across the UK. This year we saw an increase in the number of companies launching new products at the event. It is important for Innovate UK to support the showcasing of companies’ achievements, helping to raise visibility of their brand and demonstrating the impact that results from our support.”

Mark Tibbenham, GJD’s Managing Director, pictured, said: “We are extremely proud to have taken part in such a prestigious event. Innovate 2016 was a fantastic success for GJD. It was great to showcase our new innovate V-TECT detector and discuss exciting new business opportunities.”
