Xtralis, the detection and remote visual verification safety and security product firm, earned more accolades at the IFSEC/FIREX International 2014 trade shows in London.

Xtralis Chairman and Chief Executive Samir Samhouri was named a Top Influential Figure in both Fire and Security. The awards brought to eleven the number of honors Xtralis has received in the past year alone.

Adrian Leppard, Commissioner for City of London Police, opened IFSEC International commenting “the security industry is seeing rapid growth and it’s crucial for professional’s to have the technical knowledge to stay ahead of the curve. New technology also offers new business practices to enhance both the efficiency and effectiveness of services at a time when both the public and private sector are wrestling with cuts in spending.”

Commissioner Leppard visited the Xtralis booth for a review of Xtralis safety and security products, including the recently announced multi-service capabilities for the ADPRO FastTrace™ 2/2E remotely managed multi-service gateway (RMG). The downloadable capabilities include a variety of safety and security services including IntrusionTrace, LoiterTrace, SmokeTrace and ClientTrace, a new business intelligence video analytic that provides real-time consumer behaviour information.

ADPRO IntrusionTrace is a intrusion detection video analytic that is i-LIDS approved as a primary detection system for operational alert use in sterile zone monitoring. The product was recently enhanced to provide configurable directional areas to produce an alarm when a target moves in a specific direction. It also offers spider and rain suppression to achieve best detection and no false alarm results for the most complex applications, the firm adds.

Xtralis CEO and Chairman Samir Samhouri was named a Top 40 Influential Figure in Security and a Top 20 Influential Figure in Fire at the annual IFSEC/FIREX International 2014 trade shows, at the ExCel in Docklands. Mr Samhouri was named the fifth Top Influential Figure in Security and the third Top Influential Figure in Fire.

He said: “I am happy to accept these awards on behalf of Xtralis. These awards are a testament to the power and innovation of Xtralis’ safety and security solutions, from ADPRO to VESDA. The Xtralis team works hard to deliver the very best solutions for difficult safety and security challenges. We’ve introduced a number of award-winning innovations over the past few years that will change how lives and assets are protected and first responders are empowered to more quickly, and at lower risk, to efficiently respond to threats.”

In 2014, several leading figures from the fire community appeared in the IFSEC Top 40 and this year, and for the first time, FIREX announced its own Top 20. Last year Mr. Samhouri was nominated to the IFSEC Top 40 and this year was one of only two individuals to appear on both lists.
