Octavian accolade

by Mark Rowe

The guarding company Octavian Security has named Daniel Mawataur as its Employee of the Year, out of its 750 strong workforce.

The company chose Daniel from 12 other candidates for the award, all of whom have won ‘Employee of the Month’ during 2012.

Daniel was chosen for his work with logistics network UPS and his professionalism. He also impressed an external auditor from aviation security company Redline; aviation is a key sector for Octavian.

Tony Mellor, commercial director at Octavian, said: “We are fortunate to have so many great employees that it’s always hugely difficult to choose an overall winner. However, Daniel has impressed us with his professional, assertive attitude and his excellent understanding of his roles and responsibilities.”

Group GEO and owner Sukhi Ghuman added: “Daniel is a showcase for what we strive for in our staff development at Octavian Security, and I am sure that he will be a welcome role model for many other employees.” Daniel also received a monetary prize and a commemorative plaque from the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Jot Engelbrecht.
