Supplier joins Constructionline

by Mark Rowe

Fireco, the UK supplier of fire safety products, is newly registered as a supplier on the UK pre-qualification online database Constructionline, the hub of suppliers for the construction industry.

Buyers will have easier access to Fireco’s credentials and the company says that it’s confident of an increase in business leads as a result. The database allows buyers to choose suppliers based on financial standing, capacity and level of experience, pre-qualified to government standards.

Registration will reduce time-consuming paperwork and cause less duplication in the tender process, leaving qualified firms better placed to sell its products without obstruction. Buyers can confirm compliance with standards such as ISO 9001.

Among Fireco’s available products is Dorgard, pictured, the wireless fire door retainer, and Freedor, a wireless free-swing door closer, both allowing fire doors to be kept open legally and safely. The devices use patented acoustic technology to listen for the sound of a fire alarm and close fire doors automatically when an alarm sounds, preventing spread of smoke and fire.

Neil Purssey, Executive Chairman at Fireco, adds: “With over 8,000 key decision makers from over 2,000 buying organisations, Constructionline provides us with exciting opportunities. We are looking forward to building great relationships with new buyers through our online profile.”
