Camera, DVR range

by Mark Rowe

Xeno can now offer customers full HD resolution over standard RG59 coax at ranges of 300m thanks to its new Nitro range of cameras and digital video recorders (DVRs). The range brings 1080P image quality at what the Norbain brand calls a cost effective price. The options include eyeball, bullet and vandal dome cameras, as well as four, eight and 16 channel DVRs.

To allow installers a transition to the Nitro range the DVRs operate in exactly the same way as the XDR960 range with no additional training required, according to the firm. The same Central Management Software (CMS) can be used to connect to these and also the range of Xeno IP NVRS. The Nitro range gives installers the opportunity to upgrade their analogue customers to full HD resolution, it’s claimed.

Bob Forehand, Xeno Product Manager, says: “Nitro allows integrators to offer their customers the advantages of Full HD resolution, but without the complexity of IP networking. In addition, they can use any existing coax cabling – keeping costs to a minimum and simplifying the overall upgrade process. Because cameras are dual format AHD and 960H, integrators only need to stock one type of camera to be able to service old and new installations. This is an extremely exciting development in the analogue world and offers end users a cost-effective upgrade path to full HD.” Visit http://xeno-cctv.com.
