4K fixed box camera

New from thermal camera company FLIR Systems is the Quasar 4K fixed box camera. It’s described as a multi-purpose 4K UHD resolution evidentiary detail camera that comes with a low light FHD camera for night time use. Using programmable schedules, the camera can switch from UHD mode (4K with up to 30 frames per second) for daytime use, to Enhanced Low Light Performance mode (1080P with up to 60 frames per second) at night, providing image capture based on optimal scene resolution with sWDR (wide dynamic range).

In use with FLIR’s United VMS (video management software), the company’s Adaptive Streaming ensures minimum impact on your network and IT according to the makers.

Using specialised housings whether explosion-proof or in case of extreme weather, the 4K fixed box camera is the maker says for deployments in tunnel entrances, security check-points and critical infrastructure. The ONVIF-compliant product also features bi-directional audio.
