Access Control

Capacity increase

by Mark Rowe

Inner Range’s access control and intruder system, Inception, has undergone a capacity increase so it can be used in larger buildings. The product can now accommodate 128 doors and 10,000 users. Previously it covered 32 doors and 2,000 users. Inception retains its 512 zones of integrated intruder alarm functionality.

Inception is described by the firm as a web-based access control and intruder detection system that has its software built into the controller. Inception according to the company was designed to be intuitive, accessible and easy to use for both installers and end users.

Tim Northwood, General Manager of Inner Range Europe, said: “Inception’s new access control capacity upgrade comes at no extra cost and allows installers to offer their customers greater flexibly and system size without having to implement a server or PC based access system. It retains the simplicity and ease of installation and operation Inception is known for.”

The new capacities require no hardware changes or licenses and are available for all controllers with a firmware update.
