Violence In Skies

by msecadm4921

Green Light are offering a seminar, Violence in the Skies, on hijacker and disruptive passenger management, in the UK.

The two-day programme in Brighton, from May 21 to 23, according to organisers, gives airline personnel an insight into elements that could, and indeed should, be introduced into their crew security training programmes. Perhaps best viewed as a ‘train the trainer’ seminar, organisers say they are there to encourage staff to examine new methodologies of crew training that will enhance security on board the flights they operate.

The hijack element of the programme looks at the crew’s preventative role by introducing them to basic behavioural analysis techniques as well as furnishing them with the tools to best manage an incident should it occur. Weapons and explosives workshop provide a hands-on opportunity to examine threat objects and enable delegates to correctly describe them. Meanwhile, Dr Julia Heller will provide a psychologist’s perspective on disruptive passenger management. contact Janette Mok on 020 8255 9447 or by e-mail at [email protected]
