Russian Conference

by msecadm4921

Security firm Meido is to host a three-day conference aimed at the Russian and CIS oil and gas sectors.

The London-based trainers and consultants have teamed up with UK-based conference organiser Transcity to host the event in London from Monday, April 25 to Wednesday 27.

Entitled ‘Expansion and Security: 21st Century Global Cooperation for the CIS Energy Sector’, The Royal Lancaster Hotel event seeks to provide a platform for Russian energy sector executives and other decision-makers to meet their UK counterparts. Speeches will be delivered by Meido’s Managing Director, David Rubens, and invited executives from consultants Kroll, Marsh and Deloitte Touche.

What they say

David said : "The CIS energy sector has seen a remarkable growth over the last ten years with many of the major companies beginning to develop trading operations across the globe, well away from their traditional theatres of operation. This expansion will require new areas of expertise in, for example, risk management, global insurance, inter-agency cooperation and security related issues. This event aims to offer a practical and logistical response to these new challenges." Organisers report that the event will be a mixture of presentations, workshop sessions and visits to centres of excellence.

About Meido, the event

Confirmed UK delegates include staff from Kroll Security International, Marsh, Cambridge Security Group, Deloitte Touche, The European Research Council and Aegis Defence Services. Russian organisations sending delegates include Gazprom, The EuroAsian Energy Corporation from Kazakhstan, Lukoil, MoldovaGas based in Moldovia, Petrom from Romania as well as Energy Ministry officials from Tadjikistan. Spaces are available to UK delegates on an invitation-only basis. For details visit www.transcity.co.uk or for details on attending any of the sessions, ring David Rubens at Meido on 020 7372 9866.
