ASIS Launch

by msecadm4921

Fluidmesh Networks, makers of wireless video-surveillance systems based on mesh networking technology, is to unveil at ASIS International in September its Fluidmesh 1100.

It’s described as a point-to-point ireless Ethernet bridge designed for security, public safety and video-surveillance applications. Fluidmesh 1100-based ireless link creates a fully IP-compatible connection.

Through software radio technology, the Fluidmesh product can operate on license-free 2.4 GHz, 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz frequency bands or on the public safety 4.9 GHz band.

The preferred frequency can be selected through a Web-based interface during installation. The integrated planar antenna makes the Fluidmesh 1100 a compact, easy to install solution. It comes with a proprietary Power over Ethernet injector and what the makers call its sleek design provides a low-visual impact, it is claimed, for discreet deployments in urban areas. The system’s Web-based interface enables users to configure, align and monitor the wireless link.

The compony says that the Fluidmesh 1100 is a fully IP and Ethernet compatible device. Despite being designed and optimised for video solutions, the makers add that it can also create fully IP compatible networks that can be employed for multiple services. Possible applications include VOIP communication, data net ork interconnection, and remote DVR control.
