Heathrow Access

by msecadm4921

SALTO Systems has been chosen by British Airways to install its smart proximity electronic access control system, adding to BA’s primary security arrangements, in the airline’s new passenger facility at Terminal 5 Heathrow.

A mixture of over 200 SALTO XS4 Comfort, Security and Glass Door lock sets, with intelligent wall readers mounted on stainless steel pedestals have been installed, controlling access to a mix of BA staff doors, lounges and the airline’s 1st class lounges in the new terminal.

Access privileges are restricted to authorised staff only and the system, the makers add, provides continuous audit trail information, working with British Airway’s own staff ID cards to give the airline management control over their security requirements.

What they say

"It is a huge compliment to our technology that British Airways has chosen us to provide sophisticated electronic access control within key areas of their prestigious new Terminal 5 facilities," added Ramesh Gurdev, SALTO Systems UK national sales manager.
