Tower Win

by msecadm4921

Clarke Construction Security (CCS) has won the Tools and Equipment New Product Award at the Interbuild exhibition for its iGuard CCTV tower system.

"We are delighted to have won," says Carl Clarke, CCS’ Managing Director. "It’s the first time we have entered and, I am sure, the award recognises the growing issue of site security and protection at a time when the downturn will increase the number of vacant sites and void buildings."

Mounted on a trailer that can be towed by a car or van, the tower is fully retractable and can be erected within 30 minutes of arriving at a site.

It is suitable the makers say for any application that needs rapid deployment such as sites with short-term or temporary security requirements; as an emergency intruder alarm system; to cover buildings suddenly become void; and vacant plots of land.

iGuard offers self-contained remote video surveillance consisting of a CCTV camera, infra-red lights, intruder alarms and PA speakers. Within its base is a 3G wireless connection that provides the link back to CCS’ monitoring station to ensure sites can be monitored remotely on 24/7. This facility plus battery back-up and an optional built-in LPG generator means iGuard is suitable the firm says for locations without fixed telecommunications lines or permanent power supply.

The speakers can be activated to broadcast warnings to intruders while any threat or incident is rapidly acted on through CCS’ own SIA-licensed and trained motorcycle response team within the M25; outside of that, locally-based security companies vetted by CCS are used.

iGuard systems are available individually from CCS on a monthly rental basis that is more cost-effective than manned guarding; or as part of an overall site protection package. As part of these CCS not only supply the systems, but also install, maintain and service them, and provide the response service.
