NTE Network

by msecadm4921

The ATCM (Association of Town Centre Management) has established a new network of professionals in the night-time economy (NTE).

A free to attend meeting is in Glasgow on June 2. An earlier meeting in London identified the top five issues facing those managing the NTE:

* Resources for the management of NTE
* Public perceptions
* Composition/ mix of business
* Dispersal & movement
* Feeling as safe outside as inside

The Glasgow meeting will look at the Glasgow City Centre Safety Initiative, covering Best Bar None, Nite Zones, Street Pastors and the Radio Network. Glasgow’s violence and disorder figures are at a low over a five-year period.

Organisers will be running a workshop to identify resources for the NTE be the funding, in kind or voluntary. Other topics will be addressed in future meetings. This meeting will explore not only the above topics, with relevant knowledgeable speakers, but look at the opportunities for the group.
