The Canadian security product firm Absolute Software Corporation, which offers software for computers, laptops, tablets and smartphones, has achieved the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001:2013 certification.
That’s the standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), requiring that a company uses a systematic approach to managing sensitive information and ensuring data security.
Absolute Software had previously held certification for ISO 27001:2005, which was superseded by ISO 27001:2013.
This most recent ISO 27001:2013 certification for Absolute Software was by BSI Group. Phil Gardner, Chief Technology Officer at Absolute, said: “Given the nature of our business and our expertise in information and endpoint security, our customers hold us to the highest standards. Achieving the latest ISO certification allows us to validate our internal approach to security and demonstrate to our customers and partners how serious we are about protecting their information.”
