Oil and gas date

by Mark Rowe

Security figures will gather at the International Oil & Gas Security Event 2016 on May 11 and 12 in London to discuss pressing concerns for the oil and gas security industry.

The global energy demand is expected to rise by 50pc over the next 25 years and so are the exploration and production activities expected to, say the event organisers International Research Networks; but this rise is threatened by security concerns, especially in certain areas where operating has become a major risk for oil and gas companies.

As instability grows, critical infrastructures may become soft targets for criminals and terrorists and defenceless to new threats such as cyber-attacks.

The event will cover issues including: new regulation for the security sector, environmental impact of terrorist attacks, security planning for the post-conflict environment, cyber security, travel security, Crisis Management, HSE and many more.

Speakers include senior representatives from: Maersk Oil, BP NOV – National Oilwell Varco, and Pluspetrol Colombia Corporation, Tenaris Global Services, Nepal Oil And Gas Services, Petroleb Lebanon, Trans Adriatic, Pipeline AG Italy, Qatar Petroleum, Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), Vivo Energy, Nigeria LNG Limited.
