Job Title: Data Cabling Engineer
Location: Kent
Rate: £165 p/day
Are you a Data Cabling Engineer based in Kent with experience working on CAT6A copper and cabinet moves? Technical Resources is recruiting for a hands-on engineer to support cable re-termination and cabinet relocation works on a live site, with some minor containment involved. This is a practical role suited to an engineer who is comfortable working independently in comms room environments.
Description of contract/programme of works:

CAT6A copper cable handling and re-termination
-
Cabinet relocation works, including disconnecting, labelling, moving and recommissioning a 6×8 comms cabinet

Dragging back existing cables and replacing any that cannot be reused

Cable labelling and panel reworking

Minor containment installation (tray/basket) within comms rooms
Experience required:

Strong background in CAT6A installation and re-termination

Confident in carrying out comms cabinet relocations and cable moves

Experience working on live commercial or comms room environments
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

No formal certifications required

Standard hand tools and termination tools
-
Full PPE
