ASIS UK meet

by Mark Rowe

There’s a cyber flavour to the summer 2016 quarterly meeting of the UK chapter of the industry security management association ASIS. It’s running at SOAS, part of the University of London, in Russell Square, WC1H 0XG, on Tuesday afternoon, June 14.

Andy Cuerel, Project Manager at the resilience consultancy Steelhenge Consulting, will cover business continuity and crisis management.

Piers Bishop, Trustee of the charity PTSD Resolution, will talk about the Human Givens Technique, the method of holistic and scientific treatment for psychotherapy, social work, primary care and education.

Andy Jones, CISO (chief information security officer) at Maersk Line, will speak on ‘securing the internet of things’; and Alan Jenkins, ASIS UK Cyber Security Lead, will give an update.

The event starts with registering and networking from 2pm, with speakers from 2.30pm, with afternoon tea break around 4pm. The event as usual is intended to let people put in a good day’s work before they leave their desk or office for the gathering, which will end about 6pm with drinks and more networking.
