JANUS for Windows 3.00 is designed for any size of access control application, from single door to worldwide corporate security, using Windows servers and internet connectivity, say access control manufacturer Grosvenor Interntional.

In its simplest form a JANUS for Windows system consists of: PC; comms-line header (RS485, TCP/IP or PSTN); door controllers and readers; and ancillary door equipment (such as locks, sounders, and door contact switches). The product provides access control, graphical alarm monitoring, video imaging, card production, visitor management, asset protection, plant control, and integration with safety and building management systems such as intruder, fire, CCTV, time and attendance, cashless vending and building management.
